Devs At Home covers the physical half of software work: the chair, the desk, the screens and the light falling on them. It exists because most gear coverage is written for a general office worker who spends two hours a day at a desk, and almost none of it is written for someone who spends nine.

What we cover

Seating and posture, sit-stand and treadmill desks, monitors and the eye strain that comes with them, lighting, and the peripherals that sit between your hands and the machine. If it affects how your body feels at the end of a long day of work, it is in scope.

How we work

We start from the questions readers actually search for, then answer them properly — specifications in context, trade-offs stated plainly, and a clear recommendation at the end. Where someone has already made an excellent video about a product, we embed it and credit the channel rather than pretending it does not exist. Reviews of reviews are a legitimate service when the alternative is watching nine hours of footage yourself.

What we will not do

• Accept payment for coverage, placement or a score.
• Send drafts to manufacturers for approval.
• Recommend something we would not tell a colleague to buy.
