This policy covers devsathome.com. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell anything about you, and you can ask us to delete what we hold.

What we collect

• Analytics. Aggregate page views, referrers and approximate country, used to understand which articles are useful. This is measurement data, not a profile of you.
• Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the page you subscribed from.
• Contact messages. If you write to us, we store your name, email address and message so we can reply.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for accounts, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not sell or rent any data to third parties.

Cookies

The site itself sets no marketing cookies. Embedded YouTube videos are loaded only after you click play, and are served from youtube-nocookie.com so nothing is set until you choose to watch.

Affiliate links

Outbound links to Amazon carry a tag that tells Amazon the visit came from us. Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens once you are on their site. See our affiliate disclosure for the full picture.

Processors we use

• Google Firebase — hosting, database and authentication.
• Google Analytics and Search Console — traffic and search performance measurement.
• Mailgun — sending the newsletter and contact notifications.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link it contains. To request a copy of what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, contact us and we will action it within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will change with it.
