What this means in practice

When we link to a product on Amazon, that link carries a tag identifying Devs At Home. If you buy something after following it, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price either way.

What it does not mean

No manufacturer pays for coverage, for a score, or for a place in a roundup. We are not given products in exchange for a positive review, and we do not send drafts to brands before publication. When a product is poor, we say so — a recommendation is worth nothing if it is for sale.

How we choose what to cover

We write about the equipment developers actually ask about: chairs, desks, monitors, lighting and peripherals for people who sit and type for a living. Selection is driven by reader questions and by what is genuinely worth the money, not by commission rates.
