Placement: first reflection points beat wall-of-foam
The first reflection point is where sound from your mouth hits a surface and bounces back to the microphone. Find it by sitting at your desk and having someone hold a mirror flat against the wall. Move the mirror until you can see the microphone in it. That spot is a reflection point. Treat it.
