Miami Modem is the most photogenic vibe and the trickiest to work in, because saturated coloured light plays havoc with how you perceive what is on screen. The trick is to keep the colour behind you and off the monitor, and to be able to switch it all to neutral when you actually need to judge a design.

- Yes, substantially. Strongly tinted light changes how you perceive what is on screen, so anything involving design, photography or UI colour needs a neutral lighting scene. Keeping a switchable neutral preset is the practical answer.

- Behind you and out of frame, aimed at a wall. Lights aimed at the subject flatten skin tone and confuse a webcam’s white balance; lights bounced off a surface behind you give the colour without touching your face.
